Lance Reddick as “Sylens” in the Horizon video game series

Actor Lance Reddick, best known for his role as Cedrick Daniels in the hit HBO series The Wire, has passed away at the age of 60. TMZ was first to report, with Variety subsequently confirming with his reps that the causes were natural.

Reddick had been in the middle of a press tour for the upcoming fourth installment of the John Wick franchise, in which he played the character Charon. However, he did not attend the New York City premiere of the movie and–as TMZ also reported–instead posted a selfie video on social media from home with his dogs, without any explanation for his absence.

Reddick was also a voice actor for many video games including a long-running role in Destiny and Destiny 2 as Commander Zavala, who has been one of the key characters in the series. He has also been featured in the Horizon series, Quantum Break, and John Wick Hex.
